I owe to my parents for life and morality but for knowledge to my reverend teachers of the different institutions. I took my primary and secondary education from Bakila attached Primary and Bakila High English School respectively and the last one in the year 1962. There after I took I.Sc and the B.Sc degree from Chandpur College in the year 1964 and 1967 respectively. I was aimed at the teaching profession from my boyhood. Consequently, the moment I passed the B.Sc examination I got an offer from the Hajigonj Amin Memorial High School to be a science Teacher of the same. Accordingly I accepted the proposal and joined there instantly. There I was accomplished with some men of versatility such as Md. Mindhat Uddin Ahmed, Mr. Suklal Saha, Mr. Nripendra Saha, Mr. Mihir Lal Dutta, Mr. Kumud Behari, Ratan Karmakar and others. It is not at all exaggerated that Mr. Suklala Saha and Md. Mindhat Uddin Ahmed were exceptionally English and as well as Bengali knowing gentle men. Mr. Mihirlal Dutta was also on the same straight line.
In September 1969, I took educational leave for two years and I got myself admitted in the I.E.R. Dhaka University for the M.Ed degree and came out successfully in 1972. The I.E.R. would be maintained by the American Chalarado State College. The I.E.R authority used to make available to all the M.Ed trainee a monthly stipend amounting to Tk 150/- (One Hundred Fifty) only. It was enough for living in Dhaka.
It is to be noted here that I appeared at the M.Sc ( Mathematics) Preliminary examination as an external private candidate in addition to my candidature in the M.Ed. It was not known to me that no one can appear at a time more than one departmental subject without due permission of the authority. So my M.Sc in Mathematics remain up to preliminary level. Mean while the historic 7th march of 1971 knocked at the doors of Bangladeshi people. The then Dhaka was just a latent dormant. Having being spirited from the vigorous speech of the 7th March the non co-operation movement was started endlessly in every sphere of the country .
The vivid uselessness of East Pakistan wilted the pak-brutals. Finding no other alternatives the pak-brutals degraded their natural occupation brutality over the sleeping people of Bangladesh. Thousands and thousands of people were killed in that 25th March 1971 at night. During my training period I was an attached student of no-2 west house, Jagannath hall, Dhaka. I left Dhaka on the 17th March 1971 along with my room mate Ajit Roy Chowdhury who was a student general History department of Dhaka University. But he was also killed by the pak-butchers in his own home-stead.
However, I completed duly the M.Ed course in 1972 and was placed in second class and thereafter, I joined the Balakhal J.N. High School as science teacher.
As to principle of education, he is a popular teacher, whose mode of expression is much attractive to the taught. Similarly, he is a good teacher who takes preparation before taking class. So a teacher is a life long learner. The more you learn the more you will be able to give entire satisfaction on the lesson.
As to the prevailing educational curriculam and the texts book are not at all authenticated for the taught of different classes. So now a days we are in a irrecoverable crisis of text books. Which will barren the nation within near future. And our independence will be ashamed of it.
Most humbly I would like to ask the authors and curriculum makers of Bangladesh if they were acquainted with this sort of curriculum during their adolescence.
Absurd! it may never be so. Nevertheless Bangladesh is placed 150th in the world in respect of I.Q. So we should go back to the early basic system of education of our country. And this is the only way to regain the wealthy Bangladesh.
