We Enjoyed The Tournament

Every win brings encouragement. We were definitely overwhelmed with joy after winning the championship title on Eleventh Panjeree Chandpur Kantha Debate Competition 2019. It was really a national standard competition which was effective to create a good environment for building a rational society. Debate movement is the most desired movement for the society to build a knowledge based nation. The Panjeree-Chandpur Kantha Debate Competition is such a strong platform for the debators that can promote anybody to the national level. English traditional debate format is still to be dispersed in the whole district. Even then, it was a healthy competition to take part as a team member from Daffodil International School, Chandpur. I was the second speaker in my team and my team leader was Rajima Apu who is inborn a good speaker. Our first speaker was Sadia Apu and she had a good command in English pronunciation. I was told to compose my speech with a bit attack because, it was the strategy of our team. First speaker made a platform for us through her clarification and the team leader concluded her speech with solutions.

It was actually a Herculian task to read the mentality if the audience, what they did like to hear from us. But we think, we could read them well and formed our speech accordingly.

Debate is not only an art, but also a game of psychological techniques. We were in touch and go to wait for the final. Our opponent was the team of Chandpur Women's College. The final round was so challenging that, we could merely held our breath. But in fine we were able to break the ice so easily and won the title of championship. It was out and out a terrible platform to bloom oneself as a debater. Thanks and gratitude to the hosts fir giving us such an opportunity. I also thank from bottom of my heart to our the then Education Minister Dr. Dipu Moni MP for encouraging us in the arena of debate, the art of argument and grounds. I hope this platform will continue to form smart Bangladesh ably.
